Dennis Bergkamp took the goalscoring pressure off his highly-valued strike partner, Thierry Henry, as Arsenal just held on to beat Blackburn 1-0 and
regain the Barclaycard Premiership lead.
Bergkamp struck early on and while Henry, the subject of interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid failed to match his normal high standards, Blackburn
were unable to make the most of their second-half pressure.
Arsenal were instead indebted to goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, who made a handful of great saves, while Markus Babbel also had an effort ruled out for a
foul.
