Newcastle United: Laurel & Hardy = Toon Defence

What is going on with the Newcastle centreback pair.

Boumsong is getting worse and worse everyweek, remember that cool he cost the other week? jeeze! how bad was that. Hes lazy in my opinion and tries to be classy too much, but it sure backfired on him..

Bramble is the same, is there a match he plays and doesnt do something daft? when Celtic had Tebily he was like a timebomb, always looked like he was going to cost a goal. I think they 2 are like that.

The best bit was.... Boumsong gets told to get lost and in comes Craig Moore

MickeyDee, if you are reading.... who would you buy for yuor defence?

Well i agree 100% with your comments on Boumsong...His performances are getting worse by the week, which is a real shame because on paper he should be an excellent centre-back.

Bramble isnt much better. Altgough more reliable than Boumsong he makes very silly mistakes which have cost Newcastle dearly this season.

BUT...although a very shakey first game Craig Moore has really stiffened things up at the back, especially against Spurs last week!


I would love Newcastle to buy a strong commanding centre-back in the near future, somebody like Jaap Stam but younger.
But i think the long-term future for our back line in Steven Taylor and Peter Ramage...They are still so young but progressing at an amazing rate!


So hurry up and sort that shoulder Taylor...we need you back asap!
