the right back looks set to miss the season

[quoteInjured Newcastle defender Stephen Carr looks set to miss the rest of the season.

The full back has been struggling with a knee problem for some time after picking up the injury against Manchester United in November.

Newcastle hoped Carr would make his return to action this month, but the player has been unable to shake off the injury.
