Graeme Souness has tipped Jermaine Jenas to become Newcastle United's next captain after claiming that he is potentially the best midfielder in Europe.

Jenas deputised as skipper in Alan Shearer's absence on Saturday and the 21-year-old England international clearly impressed his manager.
