Portsmouth have conceded defeat in their battle to keep midfielder Amdy Faye.
Faye has been looking to move since the summer, when injury meant a possible move to Fulham collapsed.
The Cottagers are again interested, but there is interest from elsewhere with Middlesbrough, Tottenham and Aston Villa all reported to be monitoring
the Senegalese star's situation.
Chief executive Peter Storrie has admitted that Faye seems set to leave Fratton Park in January.
"There is no point in keeping a player who wants to go," said Storrie.
Faye's future seems set to be resolved sooner rather than later because Pompey are keen to find a replacement, although no deal can be done until
January when the transfer window opens.
