5!! I didn't think it would be that many but i guess you need a big squad in the prem nowadays. Esp as they had so many injury's early on in the season.

Well its a rumour what happened was Mandaric said he wants to re-organise the whole club and he said he wanted to bring in an European super-coach to assist Harry having and that was to thought have the axe dangling over Harry asisant Jim Smith, Harry then said if Smith is sacked he will leave.
Madaric didnt say anything about sacking Smith its all media talk.

Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric is on a collision course with Harry Redknapp that could even see the manager ousted before Saturday's final game of the season at home to Middlesbrough.

But the south-coast club have denied reports the pair are scheduled for a crisis meeting on Tuesday night over the alleged imminent dismissals of coaches Jim Smith and Kevin Bond which has left Redknapp seething.

Meanwhile, George Leekens, the former Belgium manager who is being tipped to join Portsmouth this summer, admits he would love to "be involved" but has not yet had contact with Mandaric.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is leading the chase to sign Arsenal's veteran defender Martin Keown.
Redknapp is believed to have sounded out the 37-year-old about a move to Fratton Park in the summer and is favourite to land Keown.

4-1 now

Sheringham scores in the 80th minute...could be his last goal ever as it looks like he may be retiring after this game.

Nigerian striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu's four-goal haul against Middlesbrough ensured Portsmouth put a turbulent week behind them as they ran out 5-1 winners at Fratton Park.

Yakubu's first came after just five minutes and he then slotted home a 14th-minute penalty.

Dutch winger Bolo Zenden hauled Boro back in it with a sweet 27th-minute strike but Yakubu netted again four minutes later.

Teddy Sheringham, playing his last game for Portsmouth, scored 10 minutes before full-time and Yakubu grabbed his fourth three minutes later.

Portsmouth have had a really good season under Redknapp, and if their over-zealous chairman gets his way and Harry jumps ship they'll probably slip back down into the First Division.

The fans should make their voices heard now, Harry and Jim Smith are a great team.

They did do well towards the end of the season and strung some great results together that kept them in the prem. If they hadn't had so many injuries they might have done a bit better. But i think they will definatly finish bottom half again, maybe not relegation material but bottom 7/8 all the same.
