European: Barca sign Ezquerro

Barcelona are set to bolster their squad further after agreeing terms with Athletic Bilbao winger Santiago Ezquerro.

The Catalan giants have already agreed terms with PSV Eindhoven's Mark van Bommel on a free transfer and will now capture the 28-year-old.

Ezquerro, who was out of contract this summer, has revealed the offer of a three-year deal from Camp Nou was too good to reject.

The former Osasuna and Mallorca winger, who can also operate behind a target man, has the option of an additional year with Frank Rijkaard's side.

sounds like a smart move.

if he does well he is likely to stay beyond this year, if he stinks its easy to get rid of him.

i aint seen him play for ages, but from what i remember he is good, and he going to play on the left i reckon. going to add width and i read Teflon saying about that in another thread.

its a free transfer too, and him and van bommel. i think there supposed to be signing Luque too from Deportivo
