European: Rennes ponder Swede swoop

French outfit Rennes could be ready to make a move for Swedish striker Markus Rosenberg.

The 22-year-old Malmo hit man has impressed this term and has reportedly caught the attention of several sides across Europe.

Anderlecht and Ajax have previously been mooted as potential suitors but it is Rennes who are thought to be the club most likely to firm up their interest.

Malmo are keen to hold on to the former Rosenberg man but the player's agent, Martin Dahlin, believes interest could intensify in the transfer window.
