European: Milan line up Argentine starlet

Reports in Argentina claim that Milan have a deal in place to sign River Plate striker Maxi Lopez next January.

The Italian giants are ready to part with around 10 million euros to secure the 20-year-old prospect who has already tasted life in Serie A with Reggina.

Milan are understood to have negotiated first option on Lopez after concerns over Filippo Inzaghi's continued absence.

Lopez, who is also reportedly interesting Fulham, conceded he was flattered by talk of a move to Milan but insisted he was in the dark over the rumours.

The paraguayian league is a lot simpler compared to the Italian Serie A. This would technically lead to some complications in his performance over at Milan.
