Barcelona have been linked with a shock move for Manchester City's French striker Nicolas Anelka.
The Nou Camp giants are currently trying to complete the signing of Cameroon ace Samuel Eto'o from Mallorca.
But that deal is highly complicated with Barca's bitter rivals Real Madrid still owning a 50 percent share in Eto'o.
And now French daily L'Equipe claims the Catalan club will move for Anelka if the Eto'o deal falls through.
The paper says Anelka wants to move to a bigger club, and says the fact he'd come cheaper than Eto'o would make the deal a big possibility.
Lyon are also rumoured to be interested in Anelka, to replace the recently departed Peguy Luyindula.
He joined Marseille in a deal worth 7.3million.
