European: Marseille sign Lizarazu

Marseille have confirmed the signing of Bixente Lizarazu after the former Bayern Munich full-back put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Mediterranean giants.

The 34-year-old was a free agent after leaving Bayern at the end of last season and will be a valuable addition to Jose Anigo's squad.

The move for a familiar face will also be welcomed by Marseille supporters, who were rocked by the departure of terrace idol Didier Drogba to Chelsea.
