George Burley has resigned as manager of Championship side Derby County after claiming his position was "untenable".
Burley saved the club from relegation after joining as interim manager in March 2003 and led them to the play-offs in the 2004-2005 season.

Derby director of football Murdo Mackay has also offered his resignation.

He had a fight with a player and they have both left.
Looks like Burley could be going to Millwall?

I don't that was the only reason but the chairman didn't take his side in the matter straight away so it was curtains after that.

He will do a good job at Millwall, but arn't they a bit short of cash? Might struggle to bring in some half decent players if they are.

He's a bargin basement finder, look at the loan and free signing he makes. That's what Millwall will be after.

Well Burley ruled himself out of the Millwall job but said he may talk to Hearts when he comews back from Hols.

As for our new bodd it looks like Sam Allardyce's No.2 Phil Brown may be named in the next 48 hours cos loads of candidates have ruled themselves out of the running altho if the board are ambitious they could try for Martin O'neill!!
