Baggies boss Bryan Robson has now confirmed that he has also made an enquiry for Carson but it appears as though he was also given short shrift by Leeds.

"We made an enquiry about Scott Carson at Leeds but that's as far as it has gone," said Robson.

"We've been monitoring how the kid has been doing so we just approached Leeds to see what the situation was with him.

"But I've personally not been in touch with anyone at Leeds."
