Martin Albrechtsen is ready to convert himself into a left-back if it guarantees him a first-team spot at West Brom.
Gary Megson's £2.7m summer capture from FC Copenhagen was primarily brought in as a central defender but it was Paul Robinson's knee injury against
Fulham three games ago which gave him his chance on the flank.
The 24-year-old has slotted in effectively as he and the Baggies start to acclimatise to life in the top flight as demonstrated with the first victory
of the campaign over Bolton a fortnight ago.
Albrechtsen said: "I'm glad just to be playing and if it's at left-back I'll do that. It's gone really well - and maybe that's where my future place
is in the squad.
"At the moment I'm just taking one game at a time but I think if you look at my first game you can see I'm improving. It's a new league and a new team
for me and every time I play I'm learning."
