Watford have agreed to sign defender James Chambers from West Brom in a deal which could eventually be worth more than 250,000 to the Barclays
Premiership newcomers.
The Championship promotion hopefuls will land the 23-year-old for an initial 75,000, with a further 75,000 dependent on appearances and the remaining
100,000 only due if Watford win promotion to the top flight with Chambers in their side.
A further payment will be due to West Brom should Watford sell Chambers, with a 15% sell-on fee included in the deal.
The deal will be rubber-stamped on Monday, with Chambers signing a three-year deal.
