Coca-Cola Divisions: Anderton signs

Birmingham have signed former Tottenham and England midfielder Darren Anderton on a one-year deal.

Anderton, who was released by Spurs in the summer, has had an injury-plagued career and is understood to have agreed a pay-as-you-play deal with Birmingham manager Steve Bruce.

It all depends on how much they are paying him. I think it's a pay as you play deal or something. They will be gutted if he stays fit
