Crystal Palace appear to have won the race to sign Hungary striker Sandor Torghelle, according to one of their rival bidders for the player.
Dutch side Roda JC have conceded defeat in their efforts to sign the 22-year-old, who currently plays for MTK Budapest.
Torghelle, who scored twice for his country in a 2-0 win over Germany in a pre-Euro 2004 friendly, was due to have a medical with the Kerkrade club
but now seems set to join the newly-promoted Eagles.
