Derby County have moved to quell speculation the club is on the verge of being sold.
Chairman Lionel Pickering has made no secret of his desire to offload the Rams with an asking price having been set in the 5m to 8million range.
A Midlands radio station sparked fresh speculation a takeover was imminent but the Rams have since denied a deal is on the cards.
A statement released by the club read: "The ownership of Derby County has not changed.
"Chairman Lionel Pickering has made clear his desire to relinquish his controlling interest to an individual or consortium with the club's interests
at heart.
"But although talks have been taking place with interested parties, there is nothing further to report at present."
