Boxing: Johnson v Tarver II looking good for May

By Anthony Evans pic by Harry Rosenbluth: Looks like we'll be watching a rematch of last outstanding fight of 2004, Glen Johnson v Antonio Tarver, in late April or May of 2005.

On December 18 'Road Warrior' Johnson put on a championship round surge to outpoint 'the Magic Man' 112-116, 115-113 and 115-113 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It was a cracking fight with both men having big moments in a bout which, if it had taken place in any other year bar the explosive 2004, would have been a fight of the year candidate.

Both men said they wanted a rematch and now Johnson's promoter, Dan Goossen, said the deal for a return between the two best 175lbs fighters on the planet is within sight.
