WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has been named Boxer of the Year at the British Boxing Board of Control's annual awards ceremony.

The Scot regained his world title from Manuel Medina in November 2003 and has mounted two successful defences against Walter Estrada and William Abelyan.

He faces Samuel Kebede on 29 October in his third defence.
