East London boxing's bad boy, Gabula Vabaza, bounced back into the ratings after shrugging off a six month drugs suspension with a first round stoppage win over Themba Tshicila at the Mdantsane Centre in east London, South Africa on Friday night.
Vabaza, (26) a former WBU junior bantamweight champion, suffered his only defeat in 18 fights to dagga in January after he beat Vuyani Phulo. The ban sent his plans to fight for a WBC title up in smoke and scorched him out of the boxing rankings.
