A heavyweight dispute erupted in the ring after Mkhiza "Showtime" Myekeni failed to topple IBO flyweight champion Mzukisi Sikali at Carnival City in South Africa on Saturday night, even though he gave his elder a smashing fight.
Camp Durandt thought they had it in the bag, but when the curtain came down the former junior flyweight IBO champion Myekeni wasn't the one called upon for an encore, though he was seething and would have gladly given it.
Sikali retained his title by unanimous points decision but the Durandt camp, including Hawk Makepula, a former victim of Sikali's wrath, gave a sermon in the ring but then grumbled about the outcome.
