ALLEGES DEFENDANTS WRONGFULLY TOOK THE IDEA BEHIND

"THE NEXT GREAT CHAMP" TELEVISION SHOW

Los Angeles, CA (September 1, 2004) – Leigh Ann Burton filed a civil complaint for damages today in Los Angeles Superior Court against Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions LLC for wrongfully taking her idea for a reality television show now titled "The Next Great Champ" which will air September 7, 2004 on Fox TV. The Plaintiff alleges breach of implied-in-fact contract, breach of confidence and unfair competition, among other claims. Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions and an Executive Producer of the show, is also named as a defendant. The Plaintiff seeks a jury trial and punitive damages. She is represented by Bruce A. Broillet and Scott H. Carr with the Santa Monica, CA law firm of Greene, Broillet, Panish & Wheeler, LLP. Burton vs. Oscar de la Hoya, Case No. BC320906.
