1988: 'Ello, ello, ello... what's all this then?' Mike poses with the Metropolitan Police on a visit to England. It would not be the last time he felt
the long arm of the law.
1989: Happy days for both boxing greats. Mike and our own Frank Bruno share a smile before their title fight. If only they knew what was around the
corner...
1989: "And Tyson's in trouble!" We all remember the moment Frank had Iron Mike wobbling. But he could not capitalise though, Mike won in the fifth and
the rest, as they say, is history.
1990: The hair-raising moment with Bruno over, Tyson and promoter Don King enjoy some good times. But like most things in Mike's life, it all turned
sour and ended up in a law suit.
1995: Just how did Mike blow $300million? Spending $5million on two pet white tigers (the one pictured is called Kitty), might go some way to
explaining it.
1997: Tyson bows down and plants a smacker on the floor after beating Frank Bruno again. This time it lasted three rounds before a different part of
Frank's anatomy hit the canvas.
1996: It was the fight of the year, the upset of the year and perhaps the start of his decline. Tyson is floored by Evander Holyfield in the 11th -
and he didn't recover.
1997: Things start to turn ugly as Tyson finds Evander 'The Real Deal' Holyfield proves too good for a fighter that appears a shadow of his former
self. The look on Evander's face says it all...
1997: Holyfield - and the sporting world - can barely believe their eyes (or Evander's ear) as Tyson takes the most famous bite since Dracula. He was
of course, disqualified... in disgrace.
1998: Mike punches the air in victory as he wins the second appeal to have his fighting license re-instated in Nevada. Look out boxing, Tyson is
back...
2002: Back in the limelight and back in trouble again. Tyson and his sizeable entourage opt for a bout of pre-fight fisticuffs with Lennox Lewis and
his pals. Not one you'd like to break up...
2002: Tyson actually fared better at the press conference! Lewis outboxed him in every department before dumping him on his derierre in the eighth, to
remain the undisputed heavyweight king.
2003: Tyson, complete with new err... round-the-eye tattoo, lets his little son Miguel do the talking as he prepares for his first bout since the
Lewis lesson.
2003: Tyson gets a taste of his own medicine as Clifford 'The Black Rhino' Etienne lives up to his nickname and comes charging at him from the first
bell. Big Clifford lasted just 49 seconds.
2004: Tyson looking relaxed and enjoying his time away from the ring at a film premier. And with all due respect to Messrs Lewis, Holyfield, Douglas,
Etienne, Spinks and Birbeck, it's nice to see a pretty face...
