It's Thursday night, June 17 of 2004, and the crowd on hand at Michael's 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD is getting restless. Two fights ago, they witnessed the decimation of Dan Whetzel by the Greek man-monster, Taz Titan. It's time now for the co-main event of the evening, and the fans wait with baited breath for the Titan's stablemate, a flashy young fighter they've seen before and are eager to see again, Cestus Management's own lightweight phenom...Mighty Mike Arnaoutis.
Arnaoutis enters, the crowd roars, and Mighty Mike beams a wide smile as he basks in their admiration. The opening bell sounds, and Mighty Mike's natural ability shows through immediately, as he bobs, weaves and punches with the unmistakable looks of a young man who's having the time of his life. The fun seems to end somewhere between Mike's shoulder and fist, however, because Marty Dale Robbins, Mike's opponent, doesn't appear to be enjoying himself at all. As entertaining as Mighty Mike is, it's obviously not much fun being on the wrong end of his firepower.
