Now that Chris Byrd has made it clear he will have nothing to do with a rematch with Andrew Golota, John Ruiz has agreed to defend his WBA title against the rejuvenated Polish heavyweight contender

"I just talked with Don King about 30 minutes ago," said Golota's manager Ziggy Rozalski late Monday afternoon. "He said Ruiz has agreed to the fight. Don King is Fed-Exing me the bout agreement today."
