Former WBA cruiserweight champion Virgil Hill was so impressed with South Africa and Nic Durandt's gym that he has vowed to return when he prepares for a possible second shot at the elusive world title, but this time under Durandt's guidance.
Reigning WBA cruiserweight champion Jean-Marc Mormeck could be elevated to the status of WBA Super-champion if he wins his next fight against WBC titleholder Wayne Braithwaite. This would leave his WBA title vacant for the two top contenders in the division.
The No.1 contender is Frenchman Valery Brudov, directed by Jean-Marc Mormeck's former promoter, Michel Acariès, of France. O'Neill Bell from the USA was ranked below Hill and may succeed him after Hill's points loss to Mormeck on May 22.
