Boxing: Roy Jones regains title!!

American superstar Roy Jones did not have it all his own way as he regained his WBC light heavyweight title from Antonio Tarver in Las Vegas.

WBA heavyweight champion Jones took a majority decision 117-111 116-112 114-114 at the end of 12 tough rounds.

It was one of Jones' most difficult fights to date.

More than once he was pinned against the ropes as Tarver landed effective combinations.

However, Jones came out on top to record his 49th win in 50 fights and regain the title he abandoned to fight as a heavyweight.

There were many people who felt that Tarver won this fight but I disagree. He won the first 2 rounds but he went to sleep the rest of the fight allowing Jones to do his thing and win. If Jones was 100% in this fight he would have KO'd Tarver in my opinion. Anyways it was a good fight.

Roy Jones is a great fighter in my mind..and you dont really see him get into trouble outside the ring.
