Cory Spinks is fighting to expand his family dynasty in a world welterweight title unification showdown on December 13.
Spinks challenges wild Nicaraguan Ricardo Mayorga and if successful he will become the third member of his family to hold undisputed world titles.
Spinks' father is the party-loving "Neon" Leon - who claimed the undisputed world heavyweight title from a fading Muhammad Ali in 1978.
Leon lost his title in the return but little brother Michael proved to have more longevity.
Michael held the world light-heavyweight crown for four years from 1981 and is regarded as one of the greatest ever fighters at that weight.
He was the first light-heavy to step up and claim the heavyweight title from Larry Holmes - but was destroyed in a unification showdown with Mike
Tyson.
The new Spinks on the block shows early signs of adopting uncle Michael's composed and stable ways in contrast to his dad's unpredictable
reputation.
But Cory is under no illusions about the size of the challenge of living up to the expectations of fans with long memories.
Well what a great family to come from,i hope he does it.He is very composed and a steady fighter but he can be real explosive and deliver some wicked
blows, the fight is only a few weeks away so we shall see.
I think he might just do it,but has alot of expectation on his shoulders.
