IBA super middleweight champion Laila Ali proved far too hot for Christy Martin as she retained her title with a fourth-round knockout at the
Mississippi Coast Coliseumon on Saturday evening.
Ali, daughter of heavyweight legend Muhammed, toyed with Martin for three rounds then ending the battle between the two biggest names in women's
boxing with a knockout 48 seconds into round four.
Martin (45-3-2, 31 KOs) struggled to reach Ali with her punches and was well beaten.
Ali was six inches taller than Martin and 20 pounds heavier.
The win moves Ali's record to 16-0 overall.
