ATHENS, 28 September – Curtains went down for Cycling Road on September 27th with Austria, Australia and Spain triumphing in the 12th Paralympic Games of Athens. All the athletes left Greece’s capital with the best impressions concerning the Cycling Road event expressing especially their admiration for the high-quality course.
Austria celebrated six medals in total; three gold, two silver, and one bronze. Austrians Christoph ETZLSTORFER (Men's Ind Time Trial-HC Div A), Johann MAYRHOFER (Men's Ind Road Race-Open(HC Div B/C)) and Wolfgang EIBECK (Men's Gen'l Class Ind TT&RR-LC1) stepped on the top of the podium at their events.
