ATHENS 27 September - The athletes of Cycling Road finished their efforts with the best impressions concerning the 12th Paralympic Games of Athens. The last day of the competition left everyone satisfied organisation-wise, as was unanimously admitted.
Monday's competition didn't have many surprises in store, since the favourites yielded very good performances in the Time Trial and stepped on the podium. Besides, the scores that they had recorded in the Road Race event, had made it already possible for them.
In the Men's CP 4, Christopher SCOTT (AUS) won the gold medal in Time Trial, repeating his previous successes in Sydney and in Atlanta, where he had also been on the top of the podium. Peter HOMANN (AUS), who had won the gold medal in the Road Race both in Sydney and Atlanta, finished second, and Michel ALCAINE (FRA) was third.
