This pic unnerved me...

The photo is most definitely a fake and a poor one at that, so many points to show it was pasted.

I am quite certain that this picture is a fake. First of all, the lighting on the person does not match the lighting and shaddows of his surroundings. Second, if you look at the tree behind him, an enhanced outline is visible. Third, if you look at the picture through a smaller window you can see that the immage of the person has been digitally place onto the picture because of the roughness of his outline (the other elements of the "photograph" do not share this roughness).

Fake.

Urban legend, in fact and one of the most common ones.

Why is it that images of female ghosts (fake or real) seem scarier than images of male ghosts??? Is it the dress???

It all began when a Tamil-language newspaper carried a story with a photograph showing a young boy posing under a tree with a "ghost" with long loose hair, empty eye sockets and no legs hovering behind.

People in the town remained under a thrall of terror until police investigations revealed the "ghost" was simply a photograph of a Malaysian girl on the internet that had been added to the photograph using computer graphics.

It had been published in the youth section of the mass circulation Tamil newspaper Thanthi last October. "Some prankster has downloaded the stuff from the internet and created a new scare out of an old photo," a senior local police official said.

Investigations also revealed that the stories about the boys falling into coma and dying and girls fainting were nothing but rumours.

Yeah it's most definately a fake, I just rented Ringu, that original movie the ring was based on, and thats the chick from it.

This just shous how some threads go on and on although everyone has the same opinion. Just to join the ranks, yes its a very cheap fake. I work with Photoshop on almost a reagular basis and this can be done much better. Though for the untrained eye its belivable. But I don't think its that scary.

Ps - the photo is a fake for sure - very reminiscent of "The Ring" (best seen in it's Japanese version).

i joined just to show everyone this pic. i got this about 2 years ago, and im 100% sure that its the same image of a ghost this used in the image this thread is about. its a gif animation, you will have to sit and wait for the ghost to appear (its supposed to scare you), check it:

The edges around the ghost just make this look like a cut-paste as new layer-fade thing to me...

Here's why.


Take a closer look at the right arm of the apparition. I know how to use photoshop, and that's a crop and paste sure as I'm typing this right now.

I just wish that the person had used the sense to use the blur/burn/smudge tool.

Its the girl from the ring nothing more.

that pics is real and that happen in sungai siput or some where in kuala kangsar in PERAK states in MALAYSIA country well it is my states anyways.actually what happen to that place anyways and to that guy.that guy and his girlfriend actually they are taking a leisure time somewhere in the waterfall area at that time no one was there only that guy and his girlfriend.the reason why they are taking the pics anyways because they want something to be remember together about that place.so while they snap the camera no one was there at that time.they only realize the ghost is in the film only at the camera shop after they send it the film to the photo shop to developed.then what happen to that guy is he get so scary and nearly lying flat on the floor in unconscouse mode.and when that guy send the film throught email to his girlfriend,and that girl lying flat and her family send her to near hospital nearly one month she is in the hospital
p/s the reason why i dont post about this story in the ATS is because i dont have the pics.and some more use to believe that kind of ghost in malaysia is call LANGSUYAR and in JINX WORLDS this type of ghost is actually their own female child.believed it or not that the ancients secret which is reveald to us.and that owner of the photoshop actually very old man age like 56 anyways
