Bottom-of-the-table Castleford have signed heavyweight forward Mark Tookey from New Zealand Warriors to help them fight their battle against
relegation.
The 25-year-old Tookey, who has made 125 appearances in Australia's National Rugby League, is the fourth major signing for the Super League strugglers
in the last six weeks.
The former Parramatta and South Queensland prop fills the overseas vacancy created by last week's axing of former Newcastle Knights stand-off Sean
Rudder and he is expected to arrive in time to make his debut against Huddersfield on Sunday week.
Tookey is the third player from New Zealand Warriors in the last two months to make the move to Super League. He joins utility player Motu Tony at the
Jungle while second rower Ali Lauiititi is with Leeds.
Tookey, who was a member of the Warriors' beaten Grand Final team in 2002, joins half-backs Brad Davis and Luke Robinson in addition to Tony at the
new-look Tigers.
