Basically do you think it is morally right to tour the country? There are always 2 sides to an argument, on one side the money that could be lost by the ECB however the moral obligations to playing in the country.
If i had my way i would tell the players to come home, Mugabe is a disgrace.
What do other people think?

hmmm...

i think when there moral issues being raised the money is the big factor and infulence on what happens.

who is mugabe? is he the zimbabwe manager?

on the one hand, you play them and get money for it but you going into dangerous territory? along those lines?

sorry i couldnt give you a better answer

Mugabe is the president of the country, the fascist dictator of the country.
Basically if england play, mugabe would have one over them in that he got them to tour, he could even pull a stunt yet like wanting to shake hands with the english players to humiliate them even more

I also missed out the point of compensation if we dont play, basically if we dont play we have to pay zimbabwe £5million in compensation.

however, i think they are going to tour now just to get it out of the way and avoid the fines implicted if they dont tour

Yep that is true, which is why 3 of englands top players are not on tour

are they a good cricket team?

You dont know your cricket very well hehe erm nope they are worse now then ever before since all of the countries white players went on strike over selection issues mugabe enforced, that 5 black players no matter noability have to be selected

this zimbabwe guy sounds a bit of a racist

he could have 14 (if thats the correct number of players cos you got the fielders and batsmen) white players who are really really good. but just cos non of them are black he will take good players out and replace them with black players who may not be good just cos blacks have got to play

i remember you saying if england dont tour they have to pay compensation. was this tour on the cards long before all this happened? and with the 3 players not wanting to play i think they where good to come out and say. i dont want to travel

i just aint sure how they have to pay compensation as they have very good reasons for not wanting to play?

Sorry to correct you but its 11 players in a cricket team. What you are saying is right, however not all of the players are white in the team.
They have good reasons not to play, however Zimbabwe could demand compensation from the world cricketing organisation for costing them to not play england.

And yes Mugabe is a racist and i dont like to swear but any swearing this guy deserves it thats how bad he is. Basically there is not anything good to say about him

Zimbabwe are minnows in the cricketing world, its more a public relations excerise to build bridges than a cricket match. They shouldn't go and play. I know i wouldn't with all the crap going on out there.

It was very sad to witness some games against Zimbabwe and Bangla Desh recently, it really lowered the standards of the game i.e Hayden able to score the highest score ever against a woeful BD side. The Z team whilst they have had some players with fair ability the Flowers and Heath Streak etc are now noway in the top echelon of test playing countries and should be relagated to playing sides like Kenya, BD, Netherlands, Canada, Scotland and Ireland etc till they reach a test playing standard again. Personally I would support a ban on Zimbabwe playing all sports internationally whilst they impose their racist policy on their cricket team. It cost one Australian player Stuart MacGill dearly when he refused to tour Zimbabwe he has not been picked since and you might as well say his career is over now because he did not cave in to pressure from his countrys sporting body. I for one will not attend any sporting contest involving any Zimbabwe team.
