The process for selecting Tim Lamb's successor as chief executive is sure to be high on the agenda at the England and Wales Cricket Board's management
board meeting on Tuesday.
Lamb will give up his post in September, having spent the best part of a decade in the role, the latter months of which resulted in heavy criticism of
his handling of the Zimbabwe affair.
How to select the position is something not included in the ECB's constitution and the management board will assess it as they address concerns about
the future governance of cricket in this country, during their meeting at Lord's.
A re-structuring of the hierarchy is something widely anticipated in the near future, with the committee structure currently in place felt by many to
be outdated and cumbersome.
