Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given his strongest indication yet that Spanish international defender Michel Salgado is on his way out of the club next summer.

Salgado's contract expires at the end of June and with Manchester United and free-spending Chelsea rumoured to be monitoring the situation, Madrid have yet to agree to the full-back's pay demands.
