England and Leeds United footballer Seth Johnson has been ordered to complete 100 hours' community service and banned from driving for two years after
admitting hitting speeds of 135mph on a motorway while over the drink-drive limit.
Johnson, 24, was more than twice over the legal drink-drive limit when he was stopped in his Porsche 911 sports car on the M62 near Bradford, Dewsbury
Magistrates' Court was told.
The player, from Linton, near Wetherby, West Yorkshire, admitted charges of speeding and drink driving.
Richard Ogden, prosecuting, said an unmarked police vehicle had followed Johnson's Porsche and a Mini Cooper on the motorway for seven miles on August
21.
The speeds of the two vehicles ranged from 100mph to a maximum of 135mph and officers watched as they repeatedly swapped lanes and overtook each
other.
