Golf: tell us about your golf game.

Here's a thread to brag about how good you did on the links, make sure to include any awesome shots like that one you chipped in from 50yds, or that 75ft putt. please be honest.

I don't have any good stories yet but hopefully by this afternoon i should. well i'm off to whack some balls.

A few of us were at the local driving range hitting a few balls and I kept slicing very badly to the right on every shot. I smashed a 9 iron and the ball flew, it went through a gap in the chain link fence and hit a guy on the dry ski slope next door knocking him unconscious. I know this isn't exactly what you were asking but I thought I'd share it

that's exactally what we're looking for, that was one heck of a shot. kind of like when the Big Unit massacred that dove with a fast ball.

I was at a 9 hole course last year and hitting off the tee. I geared myself up for the shot and i had been hitting well. The backswing felt good and i caught the ball nicely and got a hole in one. Only problem was i was playing the 4th hole and it went in the 6th hole...

Pitiful, disgraceful, laughable, choke. Slice. Amateur.

Playing pitch and putt, this was bascially par 2's with some pals. My bestfriend at the time Big Jeff leathered a ball and hit the flag with a pop and knocked it out of the hole. We were all chearing until we realised the pop was the sound of his cousins head being hit on the back swing.

I went golfing today, we were going to play 9 holes on a par 36 course, it was awesome weather here today, 75F and no wind. well we brought a bottle of Beam with us and after shooting in the high 50's on hole 4 we left the cart in the fairway and called a cab home. We was hammered and if we had (if we could) finished, no doubt the score would have been over 100 (on a 9 hole, par 36 course). all in all it was a terribly bad, couldn't have been better day. Well kids i'm off too bed. i'll sportztawk with ya'll tommorrow.

I forgot about that

Well I'm a strong guy and can really swing a club or bat, I was playing a golf sim with my dad which was all about driving. I smashed the ball and on the back swing knocked my dad out who was coming forward to get a better look!

He was laid up for the rest of the day and had to have stiches.

I went golfing with my food service rep today, he paid for everything even the drinks afterwards, anyway i shot an 80 on a full 18 holes. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened, all of my drives were straight, when i chipped i made it within 10 ft of the pin, it was a glorious day and i'm thinking i should hang up my clubs so i don't ruin my best score of all time.

Well i'm looking to buy a new set of clubs, should be getting them in the next couple of weeks. Well when i get a chance to go out to the shops...

Great shooting, aegis! I still haven't completed a round of 18 yet, of course I've only gone to a real course one time, and it got too dark...

That's a nice round aegis.

I might be playing tomorrow if the weather holds up.

I wish i could, but we've gotten so much rain in the last 2 weeks that both of my local courses are under water as of yet. maybe mid may they'll dry out enough whack some balls around.

I am a terrible golfer. My dad is an avid golfer. He loves the sport more than anything. I on the other hand am not a golfer lol.

My golf career ended last year when I shot a 68 on 9 holes.

But while I was playing once I managed to knock a hole in one : )

Totally accidental...I am so bad I use a driver on very short par 3 holes. I hit the ball with the driver and it hit the front of the green and bounced up. It rolled a bit and went right into the hole. I was happy but my career ended the next day when I managed to get the 68. I go out every once in awhile to hit balls though.

I also once managed tohit the ball backwards and hit a window. it didnt quite break it but it cracked...that really sucked

I haven't hit the links quite yet this year, but tommorrow (friday) i'm gonna be in a 4 man best ball tournament, should be interesting since none of us have even dusted the clubs off yet this year. It should be fun though.
