Who do i favor? That's a good question. I favor the Heat this year. The Heat are a lot like the Cavs except for one thing. Wade is another LeBron the Pistons will have to guard. But Z isno Shaq. The Pistons didn't have to worry about a dominate Center, and still had been forced to 7 games. Even Mourning would have been better than Z in my opinion. So Game 1 of that will start next Tuesday. Will be an interesting one... At least 6 games I think. I think the Heat take it in 6 or 7.

I say Spurs by six and Clippers by five tomorrow.

I'm going to be bold and say Spurs against Pistons again.

My picks tonight, after a hard decision.. is Clippers and Dallas. I think both road teams will advance. I dunno why I'm doing this, because I'm sure I'll be wrong, but it's just my gut feeling. I have a feeling that the Clippers are going to have a cinderella story type playoffs, without the cinderella story part.

I would be the prince of course! I dunno, I guess I'd make the SUns the Prince, since the Clippers are the technical "Cinderella".

Yikes! The Spurs are getting whooped on right now, 43-29 in the second quarter. They need to get some stops really soon or this one is going to get ugly.

The mavs are giving the Spurs a good spanking, beating them 58-40 with just over 2 minutes remaining in the half. I'm confident, since I made my picks that the mavs would win this one. The one I am having problems with is the Suns and Clippers game, but I still think the Clips come on strong and take the series.

Ginobili just hit a 3 with 32 seconds left to put the Spurs up 104-101. I thought the Mavs had this one in the bag from even before the game started. I'm not so sure now.

And now just after posting that, Dirk Nowitzki makes a basket with the foul, and sinks the free throw to tie it at 104. Dirk has 35 points 13 rebounds and Tim Duncan has 38 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. I smell an overtime... but we'll just have to wait and see.

OK, San Antonio has come back and it is all tied up at 104 with 21.6 seconds on the clock. They are inbounding now. Oh, Duncan was fouled on the follow and we go to overtime. Wow!

I agree with the no call.. You can't end a Game 7 on free throws IMO. You have to let the players decide their fate. Dallas is up 4 with Manu shooting Free Throws. About 3 minutes remaining.

A forced 3 by Finley and 2 made free throws on the other end to put the Mavs up 117-11 Spells the end for the Spurs, as the Mavs advance to the Western Conference Finals.

OK, Dallas fouled on an inbound play and the Spurs got a free throw to make it 115-111. Now they have the ball with 22.7 seconds left. Oh, my, Finley put up a terrible shot! It looks like Dallas has this one wrapped up. With 15.9 seconds left, Terry makes the first FT. Second one is good. Now it's a six-point lead. I doubt SA can do anything now.

The score is final in San Antonio, as the Mavs won in OT 119-11 to advance to the Western Conference Finals to face the winner of the Suns and Clippers game. Dirk Nowitzki led the way with 37 points, 15 rebounds. And also, a man named Diop could be credited with saving them the game as the defense he played on Duncan in the closing minutes was key. He did better than expected, and is the biggest factor in the Mavs game-ending surge. Duncan had a career playoff high 41 points, also chipping in 15 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks.

The Suns currently lead the Clippers 26-20 with 3 minutes remaining in the 1st quarter.

*A quick note* The Mavs and Spurs Overtime game made it the 9th in the playoffs this year, an NBA record.

The Suns dominated the Mavs in a 127-107 win. Marion led the Suns in Scoring and rebounding with 30 and 9. Nash had an MVP performance with 29 points 11 rebounds. Elton Brand ended his great season with 36 points and 9 rebounds. The Suns advance to face the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, where good friends Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash meet.

I knew Phoenix was going to win tonight, but I had a gut feeling that the Clippers were going to pull it out. I think it was just me wanting to see a different team advance that caused me to think they'd pull it off. But the Mavs and Suns match-up will be a great one.

I am so pissed that I don't have cable right now...

Congrats to the Suns and the Mavs, that should be a heck of a series, but I think that the Mavs will pull this one out. Avery Johnson deserves that coach of the year award that he has...

I got scared for a while... my cable was out from about 10 to 2:30 when I had to leave for basketball, so I was thinking they already turned off the cable for our move. But it came back on, and I remembered that we've had cable in here since we moved in, and haven't paid a dime for it... Maybe its included with the place?

Anyway, I've decided to pick the Mavs in 6. I just think Dirk is going to be a force in this series, because the Suns don't really have anyone to catch up to them. I do expect it to be a very high scoring series.
