Basketball: Trail blazers, Raptors.. 7 way trade?

It looks like the Trail blazers are just waiting on the go-ahead from the Raptors for a 7 man trade.

Well what can you say, is it worth it?

I don't really know the players involved really well, but is trading that many going to make a massive difference? Someone must be ending up with a raw deal.

The reported deal has Carter, Jalen Rose and two unnamed players headed for Portland. The Raptors, meanwhile, would acquire Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Vladimir Stepania and Derek Anderson.

Well, they would be changing the make-up of each team quite dramatically, but it seems that usually larger trades like this are motivated by salary cap issues.
