NFL players whose old samples tested positive for the banned steroid THG will not be suspended this year, Commissioner Paul Tagliabue has
announced.
In a memo to all 32 teams, Tagliabue disclosed that none of the more than 1,000 samples collected since October 6 have come up positive for
tetrahydrogestrinone, a previously undetectable substance.
Those players whose pre-October 6 samples tested positive will be subject to discipline and further tests but will not be suspended..
