The Atlanta Falcons used their first pick, 55th overall, to select Penn State safety Bryan Scott.

The Falcons previously sent their first-round pick, 23rd overall, to the Buffalo Bills for wide receiver Peerless Price.

A durable player, Scott finished his career with 202 tackles, five interceptions and 22 pass deflections.

Scott is an accomplished magician and a world traveller who spent last summer studying in the Fiji Islands as part of Penn State's study abroad program.

Last season the Falcons made a nice run in the playoffs. And now this season Vick is going to have a deep threat....so i will be looking for the Falcons to do very well this season. There defense is better now also.

I hope they do well as they are one of my favorite teams. I think they are very exciting to watch, and I hope they play my boy TJ Duckett more!

Atlanta Falcons star quarterback Michael Vick suffered a fractured right ankle in the first quarter of a 13-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

One of the NFL's most electrifying players, Vick suffered the injury with 4:39 to go in the opening quarter when he was chased out of pocket and tackled by defensive end Adalius Thomas.

Vick fell awkwardly and grabbed for his leg before he crashed to the ground.

After being examined by trainers, Vick was taken off the field on a cart and X-rays revealed a fractured fibula that will sideline the quarterback for at least six weeks.

I heard that the Eagles QB Mcnabb is going to have a talk with Vick because Mcnabb did suffer the same injury in the playoffs last season. And Mcnabb is going to give Vick some pointers.

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Keith Newman has been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the season for violating the league's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.

Newman, signed close season as a free agent, is not eligible to return to the team until September 29.
