Penguins star and owner Mario Lemieux, one of hockey's greatest players, retired Tuesday for the second time.
Lemieux, a Hall of Famer who won Stanley Cups and scoring titles and then battled through cancer and heart problems in a comeback, announced his
decision at a news conference.
I think if the Penguins had a reason to play another game Lemieux might keep trying. But the pathetic state of affairs in Pittsburgh are enough to
make anyone want to quit. They were supposed to be a contender this year. Instead they're as crappy as they were last year, only with a larger
payroll.
