Ice Hockey: st louis blues for sale

the owners of the st louis blues, citing 60 million dollars in losses the last 2 years and concerns about the future have decided to sell the team,

this could be an ominous sign for the nhl or just what it needs, the losses are staggering, but an infusion of new ownership blood with new ideas might be a good thing

It may be, or it could be a sign of things to come. Say if St Louis do not get a buyer, then what happens?? Are they an attractive prospect at the moment, considering no ic hockey is being played at the moment

At the rate that NHL owners claim to be losing money, it's hard to imagine that anyone would want to risk buying a team right now, especially with no end in sight for the lockout.

It's not a sound intevestment, no real revenue is being genreated at the moment so the losses will keep mounting. They need a backed with big bucks to pull them out of the hole.
