The Los Angeles Kings retained a key member of their defense Friday, agreeing to a four-year contract with restricted free agent Lubomir Visnovsky.

Financial terms were not released.
Visnovsky had eight goals and 21 assists in 58 games for the Kings last season. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound defenseman has 27 goals and 86 assists in four seasons with Los Angeles.
