I was wondering if people think sex is evil, and if they believe The Virgin Mary was raped by God, impregnated by some other means, artificially inseminated by Aliens, or wasn't truly a Virgin after all.......

I know this is a sensitive topic for numerous people, and I apologize if my words offend anyone. Especially the Moderators. If this thread is offensive delete it...k

Personally I feel that the aliens did it, although it Was definitely part of some Divine plan, or cosmic order etc.......

Raped is a bit HARSH as discriptions go, but I get your point.

As far as this topic goes I'd have to say that Sexuality and Sexual acts themselves, like most other acts, are either good or bad based on the intention behind them. Sexual acts come in various forms and are done for a variety of reasons. If the reason behind them is one of pleasure, even just physical pleasure, then there is no reason for it to be considered a bad thing. However, you also have to consider that all actions/non-actions have their consequences also. Those results then are the actions that spawn more results and so on and so on. So careful consideration SHOULD be taken to account for the possible result of Sexual Pleasure may be one of Pain. Christianity has a very negative and distasteful view of physical acts between even consenting adults who are married let alone the idea of sexual acts between people for simple pleasure of the body. Sexual acts are pleasurable for a reason and don't need to be seen as evil, they simply require some bit of higher thinking in place to keep such primal actions from causing problems. Humans aren't the only creatures that have sex just for fun and pleasure either. Nor are they the only creature to have multiple partners at one time either. Dophins are in fact known to have sex for fun as well as making "baby-dolphins" and also have "Dolphin Orgies" as well as "Individual Mates" that are special to each other as a Partner.

sexuality is a god given gift between a man and woman who love each other.

Surely the message was that abusing the gift of sexuality, in the form of promiscuity, is evil? The former seems to be quite rare these days, yet the latter seems to be the norm.

Virgin Mary raped by God? This place has some really sick people.

According to bible, every sexual act between man and woman that aren't in marriage is sin.

1) That's what I thought when I saw the thread title.

2) Becarefull when you write. Cuz I don't think that God was married with Mary.

If a virgin daughter goes out for a walk and then comes back pregnant after meeting a stranger, chances are she was raped or seduced.

These days countless women are becoming pregnant due to alien sexual manipulation etc. Most of them are made pregnant either against their will or without their consent.

I know 'rape' is a loud word to use, but what else can you call it.

Are we in denial of the blatently obvious.

One morning a shining woman dressed in white appeared in my living room. I gazed at her beauty in wonder, and then she slowly began to transform into the most grotesque demoness you can imagine. Then the hologram dissipated, and inside of it there was a tentacle, attached to a tentacled alien, floating in another dimension, smiling with its mind.

That is absualutly one of the SICKEST things I have EVER heard.

GOD made Mary pregnant by the Holy Ghost, sex had NOTHING to do with it. I understand your curiosity if you will, but GOD Raping her come on.

Mary (Theotokos) was a normal woman ,like any other woman but chosen by God to bear The Son of God!!!

She was not immaculate(born without sin)as many so beleive.....

Mary "has found favor with God" (Luke 1:30)She was chosen and ordained to serve in the Mystery of the Incarnation.

In the Incarnation the "new man" was born, the "Last Adam;" he was truly human, but he was more than a man: "The second man is the Lord from heaven" (1 Cor. 15:47). As the Mother of this "Second Man," Mary herself was participating in the mystery of the redeeming re-creation of the world.

"The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee" (Luke 1:35). This was a true "theophanic presence" in the fullness of grace and of the Spirit.

"But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart" (Luke 2:19).

Mary could not fail to realize all this, if only dimly for a time and gradually, as she pondered all the glorious promises in her heart. This was the only conceivable way for her. She had to be absorbed by this single thought, in an obedient faithfulness to the Lord who "hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden" and "hath done for her great things."
This is precisely the way in which St. Paul described the state and the privilege of virginity: "the unmarried woman, and the virgin, thinks about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy in body and in spirit" (1 Cor. 7:34).
The climax of this virginal aspiration is the holiness of the Virgin Mother all-pure and undefiled.

I've never met Mary; Perhaps she was a nice ole gal.

Today, if someone claimed to become pregnant, without having a man, she would be deemed delusional. I'm not sure why these biblical stories should be exempt from criticism.

I don't buy into it. I may be wrong, but, then again, I may be right.

Bangin.....If you read the old Testament and the new Testament you would see that there is prophecy of a Saviour born from a Virgin .........many people awaited this prophecy to be fulfilled!
Even before Christ was born, she was honored by heaven when the Archangel Gabriel appeared and said to her: "Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women" (St. Luke 1:28).

Holy Scripture further proclaims of her that "henceforth all generations shall call me blessed" (St. Luke 1:48)

When Archangel Gabriel brought her the glad tidings of her giving birth to a Son who "shall be called the Son of the Highest", in astonishment she replied to him; "How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" (St. Luke 1:31-34).

"The Holy Spirit shall come upon Thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow Thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God," he said to her (St. Luke 1:35).
