the nationals still are clinging on to their playoff hopes after sweeping the mets in a 3 game set. they now stand 2 games back....does any1 else think they have a chance

yeah they got a chance this next week should be pretty easy for them. The key will be their finish against Florida and Philly

Yes. They will need to keep it together these last few weeks, and barring collapse, I think they can pull it off. They're playing the teams they need to be playing, and it's theirs for the taking.

I think the Nats have a chance. They seem to be getting on a role and they look to be staying that way. I hope they make it, just to get some new teams in the playoffs. If the Yankees make it again I swear I will be depressed for weeks on end. I'm sick of that team.

Nats, obviously, have no shot at the NL East title, but have a slight chance for the WC. It's going be extremely hard for them to overcome the Phillies or the Astros, so i don't see them making the playoffs at all. I am impressed with the Nats season, however. I expected them to do only slightly better after moving from Montreal. I mean, they were the same team, but they picked up Vinny Castilla.

Vinnie Castilla isn't going to make that much of a difference. He's just a meathead power hitter that has mediocre baseball statistics.
