and no he doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame even if he WAS a catcher, he still wasn't even as close to being as good as other catchers in the Hall of Fame such as Mickey (Gordan) Cochrane.

If Bonds, Raffy, McGuire, Sosa or any of these dopeheads get in, Then their is no possible way Pete rose should be kept out. Atleast he admitted to what he did.
The hall shouldn't just be about all stats, Gutsy performances have to stand for something as well. Curt Shilling's numbers are mediocre when you think of the hall, but his performances in the Series with the D-Backs and especially the red sox (Bloody sock) Have to give him an extra look. :party-smiley-018:

Pete Rose is a completely differen't situation. There was no rule that steroids are an automatic ban from baseball. When Rose gambled, the rule was that if you ban, you're out, no matter what. Just because maybe taking steroids is worse than gambling on baseball, it doesn't mean that they can change the rules. It is what it is.

gambling is still a stoopid ru.e

That may be but that has always been the rule and Rose broke it.

You can't go against a rule even if it's stupid.

But they should make an exception, hes the alltime hits leader, and he gambled when he was a manager anyway

There are no exception to the rules. If there were that wouldn't be fare. Just because he's the hit leader doesn't mean he's an exception. He went against the rule.
