Baseball: Jones breaks Atlant braves single-season HR record

In the third inning of the Braves and Nationals game, Andruw Jones jacked his 48th HR of the season, which is now the new club record. There is no doubt he'l reach 50... but how high in the 50's with 3 weks left, is yet to bee seen. I say 55 or 56.

Jones hit his second HR of the day in the top of the 9th to further raise his total. This puts him with the ML lead, with a total of 49 and first in the NL for RBI with 121. His second HR was the second of back-to-back shots, the first being a 2-run HR by Chipper which put the Braves up 8-7.

He is a great player, but for some reason even after all these stats, i think Pujols will get the MVP...

Gotta love Andruw Jones though!
